Who are we


Business Manager, Accounts Payable and Estimator

Adam started his career as an Electrical Engineering Cadet with the NZED where he worked on HVAC/DC power reticulation at Haywards (Sub-station Maintenance), Bunnythorpe (Test Room), Otahuhu, Takanini (Sub-station Construction) and Addington (Electro Mechanical Engineering).

In 1990 after completing his electrical apprenticeship Adam and Susan started Adam Tulloch Electrical Limited. Shortly afterwards they secured electrical maintenance contracts with Wellington City Council working City Housing and City Parks and Gardens. In 1999 Adam headed TPM Wellington a facilities management company that delivered all of the trade maintenance services (including builders, plumbers, electricians, decorators, cleaners, glaziers, grounds, asbestos contractors, refuse collection services) employing 150+ staff and contractors. In 2001 Adam returned to his core business of electrical contracting. After the 2004 Wellington floods Adam was asked to once again set up a maintenance company (CPM Wellington) to help deal with the backlog of flood damaged properties in Wellington. Adam continues to be hands on in ATEL focussing on invoicing, staff development, health & safety, and customer care.


Residential & Commercial Projects and Estimator

Garry started out working for NZ Post and Telephone (Telecom) where he was quickly promoted to an overseer / project manager for the underground jointing team. There is not a street in Wellington CBD that Gary hasn’t ripped up or broken a water main in.

In 1990 Garry headed overseas on his OE. After 3 years of doing the usual things young men do abroad Gazza returned home. Upon his return Garry worked as a labourer, concrete plasterer, asphalter and decorator before returning to school to complete a one year pre trade course in electrical engineering. During that year Garry scored 1st in NZ (98%) for 1st qualifying and 2nd in NZ (96%) for 2nd qualifying. A trainee placement with Adam soon led to an apprenticeship and a Shareholder / Director position.

Garry is married to his sweetheart Tineka and lives in Newlands with their 5 children, 4 girls and a boy


Adam Tulloch Electrical Tararua

Steven was building and wiring neon and fluorescent signs for Color Glo in Miramar before moving on to become an electrical labourer installing signage. After many years as an electrical labourer Steve finally settled down and successfully completed all three qualifying years + theory examinations in just one year to become a Registered Electrician.

Steven had worked mostly on petrol station sites and was responsible for wiring Shell Jervois, Mana, Caltex Johnsonville and BP on the Quay (Taranaki Street) before moving to Pahiatua in 2002.

By the end of 2012 Steve O might will be accepted as a fully fledged Pahiatua local. Steve is currently single and the awesome Dad of 13 year old daughter Maddison.


Service and Appliance Servicing and Estimator

Darryn started his electrical career with the NZ Railways as an Electrical Fitter Apprentice where he worked on HVAC/DC power reticulation and DC trains at Wellington Railway Station and at all the suburban Stations throughout the Wellington Region. Upon completing his electrical apprenticeship Darryn worked as a registered electrician for a couple of local contracting companies before changing career and joining LV Martin and Sons as a whiteware appliance serviceman in 1998 where he learnt “It’s the putting right that counts.” Darryn is fully trained in Fisher and Paykel appliances.

Darryn joined Adam Tulloch Electrical in 2007.

Darryn lives in Karori with long time partner Ange and their sweet little 5 year old daughter – Jorja.


Industrial Team Leader

Tim started out as an apprentice motor mechanic before shifting his focus to electrical. Tim completed his electrical apprenticeship with an Upper Hutt contracting company where he worked mostly in Factories, Concrete Plants, Manufacturing Plants and on Ships.

Tim is a clever chap and can figure out most things and as such he heads up our Industrial team. In his spare time Tim is an inventor, he likes to build things, including computers. Tim has built his own water cooled, super fast computer, why water cooled because he can!

Tim is conversant with PLC programming and writes computer programmes for PLC controls. He also enjoys motorcycling having recently renewed his passion for riding with the purchase of a new bike.

Tim joined our team in 2009 and lives in Upper Hutt with long time partner Louise.


Works Coordinator

Tiana is the friendly voice you hear when you call. Having recently completed a B Commerce with majors in Information Systems and Management, Tiana will help to determine your electrical need before despatching your job to the appropriate Tradesman. Tiana is a local girl having attended Newlands College and Victoria University.

Tiana's strength is in her ability to nag the guys to get the information she needs without upsetting them.

Tiana enjoys spending time with family, playing soccer, socializing with friends and fancies herself as a bit of a singer!


Office Administrator

Monica is our Office Administrator and works in both accounts receivable and payable. Besides keeping our admin in order Monica plugs the gaps, answering telephones, replying to emails, dealing with customer enquiries, taking new jobs and help Susan and Tiana out wherever she can.

Monica is well travelled having lived and worked abroad in Britain and Canada for 4 years.

Outside of work Monica is a member of and actively involved with Wellington SPCA, ILPH and Greenpeace and has varied interests in Architecture and Design, Languages, Equestrian Riding, Fashion and Beauty, Photography, Cooking and Reading.


Office Manager

Susan is responsible for the overall smooth running of the Back Office ensuring a warm brew is ready for the guys.

She chases all of our accounts – receivable and payable. Susan also records and maintains all the operational details of our business.
