Business Manager, Accounts Payable and Estimator

Adam started his career as an Electrical Engineering Cadet with the NZED where he worked on HVAC/DC power reticulation at Haywards, Bunnythorpe, Otahuhu, Takanini and Addington.

In 1990 after completing his electrical apprenticeship Adam and Susan started Adam Tulloch Electrical Limited. Shortly afterwards they secured electrical maintenance contracts with Wellington City Council working for City Housing and City Parks and Gardens. In 1999 Adam headed TPM Wellington a facilities management company that delivered all of the trade maintenance services (including builders, plumbers, electricians, decorators, cleaners, glaziers, grounds, asbestos contractors, refuse collection services) employing 150+ staff and contractors. In 2001 Adam returned to his core business of electrical contracting. After the 2004 Wellington floods Adam was asked to once again set up a maintenance company (CPM Wellington) to help deal with the backlog of flood damaged properties in Wellington. Adam continues to be hands on in ATEL focusing on invoicing, staff development, health & safety, and customer care.

Away from work Adam enjoys being with whanau, fishing, 4WD off-road driving, watching rugby, V8 Supercars and following his daughter’s passions which include canoe polo, netball and acting in the little theatre.

Residential & Commercial Projects and Estimator

Gary started out working for NZ Post and Telephone (Spark) where he was quickly promoted to an overseer / project manager for the underground jointing team. There is not a street in Wellington CBD that Gary hasn't ripped up or broken a water main in.

In 1990 Gary headed overseas on his OE. After 3 years of doing the usual things young men do abroad, Gazza returned home. Upon his return, Gary worked as a labourer, concrete plasterer, asphalter, and decorator before returning to school to complete a year long pre-trade course in electrical engineering. During that year Gary scored 1st in NZ (98%) for 1st qualifying and 2nd in NZ (96%) for 2nd qualifying. A trainee placement with Adam soon led to an apprenticeship and then a Shareholder / Director position.

Gary is married to his sweetheart Tineka, and lives in Newlands with their 5 children. Gary is a die-hard Nottingham Forrest supporter who enjoys watching English Premier Football, American Football (Gridiron), Rugby, Fishing, Formula 1 and V8 Supercars. He also enjoys supporting his kids passions.

Adam Tulloch Electrical - Tararua and Horowhenua

Dan started his career installing heat pumps for a company in Wellington, after 3 years of doing this, he went off to the UK for his overseas experience also working in air-conditioning. On his return home Dan completed his electrical apprenticeship, joining Adam Tulloch Electrical in 2020.

Beside being a great electrician and a Fujitsu accredited heat pump installer, Dan is a very keen fisherman, skateboarder and home renovator.

Dan loves nothing better than a stop off at the Finest Batch Bakery for a NZ’s best steak and cheese pie.

Service and Appliance Servicing and Estimator

Darryn started his electrical career with the NZ Railways as an Electrical Fitter Apprentice where he worked on HVAC/DC power reticulation and DC trains at Wellington Railway Station and at all the suburban Stations throughout the Wellington Region. Upon completing his electrical apprenticeship Darryn worked as a registered electrician for a couple of local contracting companies before changing career and joining LV Martin and Sons, as a whiteware appliance serviceman in 1998, where Darryn quickly learnt ….. “it's the putting right that counts."

Darryn joined our team in 2007, he is fully trained in Fisher and Paykel appliances, a registered security alarm installer, a Fujitsu accredited heat pump installer and a very smart electrician.

Darryn lives in Karori with long time partner Ange and their daughter Jorja. Darryn loves fishing, is well known for his Dad Jokes and generally for being a good husband and top Dad.

Industrial Team Leader

Tim started out as an apprentice motor mechanic before shifting his focus to electrical. Tim completed his electrical apprenticeship with an Upper Hutt contracting company where he worked mostly in Factories, Concrete Plants, Manufacturing Plants and on Ships.

Tim is a clever chap and can figure out most things and as such he heads up our Industrial team. In his spare time Tim is an inventor, he likes to build things, including computers. Tim has built his own water cooled, super fast computer, why water cooled? because he can!

Tim is conversant with PLC programming and writes computer programmes for PLC controls.

Tim joined our team in 2009 and lives in Upper Hutt with long time partner Louise. In his spare time Tim enjoys Gaming, building computers, watching rugby and being a active member of the Holden Cruzers Club.

Office Manager

Amy helps with the smooth running of the office, assisting with accounts, answering phones, taking jobs, customer enquiries, and helping the guys out where she can.

Amy has 15 years office experience. Looking for a change after starting a family, Amy left the corporate world to join the Adam Tulloch Electrical Team in 2018.

Born in England and raised in Wellington, Amy is a life member of the Tawa Rugby Football Club and an active member on their committee, where she manages communications, website, social media, events and merchandise for the club.

Outside of work Amy enjoys being a Mum to Presley, watching rugby, socialising and spending time with family and friends.

Accounts Receivables

Harriet, a Pahiatua native, joined the Adam Tulloch Electrical Team in 2019 after recently returning home from her big OE in the UK.

Based in Levin, Harriet prepares our invoices, accounts receivables and small quotes. She also assists with the day to day running of our office.

Harriet has 12 years administration experience and strong banter.

In her spare time Harriet enjoys being active, learning Te Reo Maori, watching rugby, fishing, home renovations and walking Hank - the dog.

Accounts

Susan chases all of our accounts - receivable and payable and works behind the scenes tidying things up.

Susan also records and maintains the operational details of our business.

Outside of work Susan looks after Bear (the cat), Boss (the dog) and 2 x Arapawa Sheep (named Cookie and Cream). To relax, Susan enjoys watching real life crime, murder mysteries on TV.
